About me

Welcome to my professional space! I'm Bledian Nela, a dedicated Structural and Conservation Engineer with a strong academic background and extensive professional experience in the field. I hold a PhD in Structural Engineering from Sapienza University of Rome, where I specialized in the assessment of historical masonry constructions, combining both numerical and experimental approaches.

My journey in engineering has taken me across Europe, from the University of Minho in Portugal to the Czech Technical University in Prague, where I earned my Advanced Master’s in Structural Analysis of Monuments and Historical Constructions. My passion lies in the preservation and analysis of historical structures, ensuring they stand the test of time while respecting their original integrity.

Over the years, I’ve contributed to numerous high-profile projects across Italy, Kosovo, and beyond. These include structural assessments, conservation interventions, and detailed designs for significant new structures and existing architectural heritage sites. My work has been recognized in several international journals and conferences, where I’ve shared insights and findings from my research and fieldwork.

When I’m not immersed in structural analysis or on-site inspections, you can find me contributing to academic journals as a certified peer reviewer for leading publications in the field. My commitment to advancing knowledge in structural engineering is evident in my active participation in research teams and international conferences.

Feel free to explore my publications and projects, and don’t hesitate to reach out if you’re interested in collaborative opportunities or simply want to discuss the fascinating world of structural engineering. My contact information are in the Contact page.
